Saiko Fukuoka

After working at an architecture studio, Saiko Fukuoka (b. 1966) moved to U.K. to study studio ceramics. Since her return home to Osaka, Japan, her works have been exhibited extensively in galleries across Japan. Fukuoka grasps how a form occupies space, creating pieces with austere and refined presence. Her works have been selected for the 22-24th Asahi Modern Craft Exhibition in 2004-2006.
