Noa Hanyu

Noa Hanyu (b. 1965) left his profession as an industrial designer and decided to learn  woodworking at a vocational training school. After learning only the basics, he set up his own studio to develop his own methods for shaping wood and eventually established his own style. Hanyu is a winner of the Asahi Contemporary Craft Competition, Japan Crafts Competition and Takaoka Craft Competition.
